The Staff Appreciation Committee would like to let you know that your children have done a great job on their year-end gift to their teacher. We have been working in the classrooms through out the year, with your children, asking what they like best about their teacher and their school year. They have been drawing thoughtful and artistic pictures to give to their teachers as well.
The Staff Appreciation Committee has taken the sentences your children have written (or told us, depending on the age) and put them on a CD beside your child’s school photo. The CD also has photos, which were taken, around the school of different activities going on inside the class and around the school. There is also music playing on the CD while each teacher is viewing the children’s photos, sentences, and the around the school photos. Your child’s teacher will receive this CD with your children’s artwork in a year-end package from the class.
John Hopkins is receiving a CD as well; this CD will have a sample from every teacher’s CD on it. The behind the scenes staff is receiving an assortment of baked goods (like a box of chocolates) baked by the Staff Appreciation subcommittee.
The Cornell Village Advisory Council is providing funds for this project and certificates for our Librarian, SERT’s, Reading Recovery teachers and the principal.
It was a pleasure working with all your children. If you have any concerns or questions please do not hesitate to call me at 905.472.4583 or email me. |
