Parent Education Workshop: Who’s the Boss?

Date & Time: Thursday, March 4, 7:00 - 8:30 pm

Location: CVPS gym

This session will focus on the relationship that exists between parents and children (JK to grade 8) and how to ensure their success at home and at school.

The participants (parents) will determine a significant part of the agenda but we will deal with the issues that have been previously presented by our parents: getting students to do homework; discipline; effective work habits; appropriate computer use; peer relationships that lead to positive actions and other topics that are presented by you!

Join us for the second session in a series of FREE Workshops planned for Cornell Village Public School parents and caregivers.

Facilitated by: Principal Doug Wilton and Kindergarten teacher Dave Bergerson

Babysitting service will be provided at no charge, but please call to let us know if you are planning to use the service so that we can have enough sitters. 904-471-1694 or send us a note

Good News Assemblies

Date & Time: View the 2009/2010 schedule.

Each month at CVPS, we select a character trait from the YRDSB Character Matters trait list. We learn about the trait and practice it on a daily basis. At the end of each month, we have a “Good News Assembly” and recognize a student from each class who has demonstrated the trait and lead by example.

The Good News Assembly is held at 9:55 am for the primary division and at 12:00 pm for the junior/intermediate divisions.
